    《双笔五十三次》东海道系列中最好的设计之一。在这个系列第三代歌川丰国负责人物画,广重画画面上方的风景画。国贞画的两个人物表演的是日本正月娱乐活动的一种喜庆舞蹈。右边是拿扇子的太夫,左边打鼓的是才藏。正月的时候他们会随鼓声起舞,一路到各家各户送上祝福语,表演滑稽的相声节目。两名欢乐的舞者在静谧的月夜里,在田野前滑稽地舞动着。一动一静的情绪形成了鲜明的对比。大家觉得上方的风景眼熟吗? 它是来自广重1850年创作的「东海道五十三之内 赤坂」,可以说广重基本是把之前的那幅 「赤坂」“搬运”了过来。

    A particularly charming design from the wonderful "Two Brushes" Tokaido series in which Toyokuni III (Kunisada) drew the figures, and Hiroshige the small landscapes. Here, two joyous Manzai dancers tumble comically in front of a dark, serene, moonlit field, performing a festive New Year’s dance. On the right the Taifu holds the fan, and on the left is the drummer, Zaizang. They would dance, send blessings to every house, and perform comedy routines to mark the New Year. The raucous energy of the dance contrasts with the serene and desolate road. Does the landscape look familiar? It almost exactly echoes the print of the same station from Hiroshige's “Kichizo Tokaido” from 1850. You could almost say Hiroshige "transported" the previous "Akasaka" to this design.
